Anyway, you need money and sooner or later there has to be a daily routine.
Since I had a few days to get used to this again, I thought it would be time to start a new blog challenge: Bloggers Around the World.
Already months before I have pondered about it. However, if you don't make a move, you won't get anywhere. So I just want to start it now. I have outlined already the details ... here.
Did you have a look?
As you see, it is the 13th of September, it is about the right time to start.
Where do we like to start our journey then?
It's only logical for me to start with Germany - for that is where I am at the moment.
So, what comes to your mind right away?
Is it Bratwurst and Sauerkraut, or Blackforest Gateaux, or Schnitzel, or Sauerbraten with potato dumplings, or German bread or bread rolls, or German beer might come to your mind ... or what is it?
A lot of people think about Bavaria when they talk about Germany. While Bavaria is a part of Germany, there is a lot more to see and explore and also a lot more to the food.
After all Germany has also access to the North Sea.
Maybe you have visited Germany before, or you have a German bakery or restaurant nearby ... whatever, let yourself be inspired.
Here some impressions of Germany ... as far as possible!
Guildhall of Hannover (Hannover is twinned with Bristol)
Museum in Stadthagen
Chimes in Hameln - Do you know the Pied Piper of Hameln - very famous
Sundown at the Lake of Steinhude
Blackforest Gateaux (sorry - had to put it)
The Town Musicians of Bremen from Grimm's fairy tale
Vineyard at the Rhine in Rüdesheim
Castle along the Rhine
Spa gardens in Bad Pyrmont
Have a look at the capital Berlin, although the wall is gone as it were. What about the Lakelands of Mecklenburg? A trip to Bremen would be nice, exploring the small to tiny alleys in the Schnoor. There is further up North Hamburg with it's harbour. You could take a boat trip through the harbour.
And it goes on and on and on ...
A bit of Vocabulary:
Good morning! - Guten Morgen!
How are you? - Wie geht es dir?
What's your name? - Wie heißt du?
Good bye! - Auf Wiedersehen!
However, I would want you to cook something, that makes you and maybe us think of Germany. Get your brain ready (and your kitchen of course) and prepare something luvly ...
... and remember the deadline is the 5th of October and the rules are:
1. Leave a comment in the post announcing the challenge for the month with a link to your post.
2. Refer to my blog in your post.
3. Use the "Bloggers Around the World" badge.
4. You can use a new or an old post, but it has to be adjusted accordingly.
